TRANSDISCIPLINARY PRACTICE PRESENTATION 04/04/22

For this presentation I prepared and mixed media exhibition including an audio visual video presentation running through the key themes, ideas and outcomes within this project as demonstrated within this website. I also incorporated a life size projection of the 3D garment moving animations as well as the actual Hologram technology in work showcasing the 3D garment rendering created during this project.

The future purpose of this exhibition, would be to utilise it as an opportunity to invite Fast Fashion consumers in, to view all aspects of the presentation and view the garment hologram and feedback whether or not they would be willing to buy garments from 3D renderings.

As the limitations identified in this project suggested I would need a dark space to effectively demonstrate the garment hologram, I liaised with LJMU facilities manager Paula McNulty who suggested booking the X GALLERY to display this work. Once booked I worked with LJMU's Mark Roughly to complete a mandatory risk assessment to ensure all safety measures are in place to undergo this exhibition.

BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE EXHIBITION

The video (right) is a behind the scenes look of how I utilised the X-Gallery space to showcase my 7005 transdisciplinary  project. I will recreate this exhibition to gain further knowledge and public / fast fashion consumers feedback to further inform the development of my FMP.

Please note the frame rate on the camera used to film this does not meet the requirements needed to accurately record the hologram fan, However the hologram fan has been reviewed in persona by Mark Roughly.

FUTURE EXHIBITION QUESTIONNAIRE

When re-exhibiting this presentation I plan on providing viewers/participants with a questionnaire to complete (pictured below) These questions will help me identify a demographic and understand a little more about their shopping and purchasing behaviours and whether or not they would be willing to buy garments from 3D garment renderings.

As this would be an anonymous submission from participants, I have completed the minimal risk ethics governance application form and these have been approved by UREC.
